This was a match Fletching went into expecteing to win, they were strong favourites with the bookies following the
9 goals they had put past the Handcross defence earlier in the season. The confidence was reflected in the decision to leave
some big names on the bench.
Flecthing started brightly and always looked the more likely to score with several players going close. But Fletching failed to
turn their pressure into goals and were dealt a sucker punch just before half time with a Handcross goal following their first meaningful attack.
But heads didn't drop and going into the second half, Fletching raised their game and soon equalised through Ross. Two more excellent goals followed resulting from good work
between Pete and Ross who would end the game with 2 goals each.
A sturdy performance from Mark Dann at the back was to be well rewarded in the club house after the game with some personal attention from a cheap stripper
enjoyed by the whole club. With the Handcross players also ogling, they didn't seem to be too concerned about the defeat.
